Summary:

The Director, IT Infrastructure role reports directly to the Vice President, Technology and Infrastructure and this person is responsible for the planning, supervision and implementation of the GLS technology infrastructure. They will also provide daily guidance and management of a team of administrators across various technical disciplines.  This role is accountable for the health and availability of the technology systems that enable the business operations of Global Lending Services.

 

Primary/Daily Duties:

  • The director will be responsible with aligning the roadmap of the technology infrastructure in such a way that it maximizes availability and continuity of the services.
  • Lead the GLS infrastructure team members by coaching, mentoring and training.
  • Provide daily guidance and prioritization to a team of administrators that are responsible for the network, telephony, servers, workstations, databases and various cloud services that serve as the platforms for GLS operations.
  • Responsible for tier 2 and 3 ticket escalation requests from the GLS service desk.
  • Insure that the systems and administrators are adhering to GLS policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with the GLS application and reporting teams on delivery and change management of their respective platforms.
  • Responsible for periodic disaster recovery exercises and the supporting documentation.
  • Research, recommend and negotiate contracts for products and tools related to the GLS IT Infrastructure.
  • Work with IT Leadership team to draft policies, procedures and controls for GLS – IT General Control Framework.
  • Assist management in establishing appropriate internal controls throughout the organization to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory agencies.
  • Create and monitor a budget and create cost saving ideas.
  • Develop results reporting structure to communicate results to Senior Management.
  • Organize, plan, work on multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Serve as a contributing member of project teams(s), or leader of project team(s), coordinating resources to ensure achievement of project activities as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

 

Education/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred.
  • Certifications in networking or security a plus.
  • Twenty or more years of experience in information technology roles within financial institutions.
  • Ten or more years of experience in an environment governed by Sarbanes-Oxley controls.
  • Ten or more years of support of a 24/7 production environment.
  • Three or more years of experience with Microsoft Office Online and Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience in an ITIL environment preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the organization and strong level of technical skills required to complete assignments.
  • Self-driven and the ability to work well independently, but also in a team environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills with technical and non-technical customers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential materials in a professional manner.
