GLS is seeking a results-oriented human resources professional in Tempe, AZ to support our growing organization as Talent Acquisition Specialist. This is an incredible opportunity in the growing industry of Auto Finance.


What does it mean to be a Talent Acquisition Specialist at GLS?

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition, the Talent Acquisition Specialist position is responsible for overseeing the full life cycle of recruitment, including the sourcing of active and passive candidates through a variety of channels. This position is also responsible for providing support for administrative HR functions as needed.

What will you do each day to ensure success?

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to analyze talent needs, and write position descriptions that properly outline the role to be filled
  • Create a thorough recruitment and interviewing plan for each open position
  • Provide training for hiring managers and other interview participants on effective and legally compliant interviewing techniques
  • Source, through various forms of advertising and/or vendor networks, both active and passive quality candidates for all open positions
  • Develop an online organizational presence in order to attract a diverse pool of candidates including development of social media and professional networking sites, suggesting improvements for the organization’s website career page and researching alternative avenues for internet-based recruiting
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with hiring managers to determine effectiveness of recruiting efforts and revise plans as necessary
  • Establish strong working relationships with all organizational leaders in order to provide top quality service during recruitment process
  • Coordinate all pre-employment background review processes, ensuring selected candidates meet organizational standards
  • Assist in organizing and implementing college recruiting initiatives
  • Research and participate in career fairs and networking events to increase awareness of company brand
  • Provide general support for administrative HR functions including on-boarding, new hire orientation and other administrative duties as necessary

What should you already know to be successful in this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field of study required. PHR certification preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of previous high volume recruitment/staffing experience required
  • Prior experience with sourcing passive candidates, using, but not limited to, the following resources: LinkedIn, CareerBuilder, Indeed
  • High level of interpersonal skills
  • High sense of urgency
  • Ability to work effectively with little supervision
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to professionally handle highly sensitive and confidential information and situations
  • Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines without missing important details
  • Proficiency in using a variety of computer software applications, particularly Microsoft Office Products

Employment Requirements:

Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position requires being able to sit for 8 hours a day
  • Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing
  • Constant use of computer equipment

Schedule:

This position is full-time, requiring minimal schedule flexibility
