What does it mean to be an Senior Dealer Funding Specialist at GLS?

The Senior Dealer Funding Specialist position is responsible for reviewing funding packages for accuracy as well as verifying stated information provided during the loan application process. 

What will you do each day to accomplish the mission?
  • Log and review funding packages for compliance with company, state and federal guidelines. This includes reviewing/clearing contract errors, restructuring deals to ensure program guidelines are met, reviewing / correcting income, verifying collateral and performing customer interviews.
  • Investigate and verify proof of employment, income, residence and insurance as required.
  • Address funding issues, including escalating issues as necessary and assist dealers with accurate completion of funding packages.
  • Maintain acceptable turnaround time to achieve volume targets.
  • Act as subject matter expert in support of onboarding new associates and as general support to assigned team(s). 
  • Provide training, guidance and mentoring to the Funding Team as needed.
  • Provide continuous feedback related to funding processes and procedures and recommend improvement as needed.
  • Identify and track funding errors at the dealership level. Provide feedback to the Sales Team regarding dealership performance to ensure contracts are funded within guidelines.
  • Notify dealers as to status of loan packages.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management. 
What should you already know to be successful in this role?
  • Financial services and/or auto industry experience preferred
  • Consistently demonstrates the ability to establish priorities and properly manage multiple high priority tasks
  • Confident self-starter that operates well with limited supervision
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • High level of interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels inside and outside of the organization
  • Meets deadlines without missing important details
  • Basic skills in using a variety of computer software applications, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office Products, required
  • Must be flexible to work the 11AM - 8PM shift

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required
