Senior Developer

GLS is seeking a results-oriented software developer in Greenville, SC to support our growing organization as a Senior Developer.  This individual will be joining a dynamic team of problem solvers that work closely with business executives to deliver innovative applications.

What will you do each day to ensure success?

• Develop and test custom applications to improve business operations (increase volume, reduce losses, improve operations efficiency, etc.)
• Partner with Business Leads and Business Systems Analysts to identify, design, and build solutions in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Troubleshoot and solve for system issues in a timely manner allowing for optimal business practice.
• Enhance existing vendor solutions through configuration and scripting
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management

What should you already know to be successful in this role?

• 4-year degree with software development experience (Computer Science or Information Systems preferred).
• Highly organized with superior troubleshooting and analytical ability
• 1+ years using cloud services, either AWS or Azure
• 3+ years using C#, Java, Python, or equivalent object-oriented programming language in a professional environment
• Experience writing SOAP or REST based services
• Experience writing JavaScript
• 3+ years Microsoft SQL Server (or equivalent opensource or cloud-based DB) query language experience in a professional environment
• Knowledge of relational database management systems required
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills while presenting ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
• Exceptionally self-motivated and directed
• Exceptional internal and external service orientation
