The Customer Service Representative will take ownership of and be responsible for delivering exceptional service and value to our customers by carrying out various customer service related processes to assist in servicing active accounts

What will you do each day to accomplish the mission?
  • Effectively handle and answer general customer inquiries as needed by phone or mail in an accurate and timely manner
  • Use investigative and active listening skills to assess each caller’s situation, answer questions and apply appropriate solutions to resolve the customer’s questions
  • Initiate and follow up on insurance claims, including letters of guarantee, insurance proceeds and cancelling back-end products
  • Process all paid accounts and duties related to paid accounts based on state guidelines including title releases, refunds and ordering documents from our custodial file to be marked paid and mailed to customers
  • Complete various state required certified letters and verify them for accuracy
  • Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
  • Scan and file documents into imaging system
  • Verify credit bureau disputes
  • Provide support to the collections department as needed with paperwork filing for extensions, due date changes and other various customer service related requests
  • Adhere and comply with company and state required operating policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
What should you already know to be successful in this role?
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Spanish reading/writing/speaking skills are preferred
  • 1-2 years relevant customer service experience – automotive field preferred. Relevant experience can include title work, insurance, bankruptcy, and/or warranty experience.
  • Strong MS Office knowledge with good computer and keyboarding skills with the ability to maneuver in a Windows based environment
  • Detail oriented and the ability to multi task
  • Must be extremely organized be able to stay on track for upcoming time sensitive deadlines
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, professional, courteous with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with a diverse customer and workforce population
  • Assertive individual with effective investigative and follow up skills
  • Have a familiarity with bankruptcy documents, filings, and documentation highly desired
  • Working knowledge of the repo process, account handling, and vendor communication preferred.
  • This position is full-time.
  • Must be able to pass background review and pre-employment drug screen

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an 8 hour work shift
  • Frequently communicates with fellow associates, members of management and external customers. Must be able to clearly express oneself and exchange accurate information in these situations
  • Constant operation of a computer and other office equipment
